The Best Free Maps Scrapers, Compared

The best free Maps scraper depends on what you need: Maps Scraper Pro, which we make, collects a Maps search with each business's emails at no cost. The free tiers of Outscraper and Apify suit small runs of a cloud service, and gosom's code suits developers. Here are seven free options and what each one's free version really includes.

The short answer

Choose another free tool if

  • You want details such as reviews or photos, and the job fits inside a free allowance.
  • You want a cloud service or an API, and a few hundred businesses a month is enough.
  • You write code and would rather run a scraper on your own computer.

Choose Maps Scraper Pro if

  • You want each business's emails free, with no allowance to run out of.
  • You want no account, card or licence key.
  • You want to ask for businesses in plain words and tidy the list before you download it.

How the tools were chosen

A tool is on this page if its free version collects businesses from Maps into a list, and its own pages say what that free version includes. Every fact about the other tools comes from those pages, read on 28 October 2026 and listed under Sources.

Maps Scraper Pro is ours, so read its column with that in mind. Where another tool does something it doesn't, such as review text, an API or more Maps details, the page says so, and extension or cloud service explains why those differences follow from where a tool runs.

There's no overall score. Free tools differ most in what they leave out, so the page ends with which one to pick for which job.

The free versions side by side

The seven differ less in price, since all have a free start, than in what the free version leaves out: emails, downloads or volume. The table shows each free version as its own pages describe it.

Free extensions that run in your browser

Three of the tools are browser extensions: they collect from the Maps page in front of you, on your own computer. They differ in how much of each business they collect and how you install them.

Maps Scraper Pro collects a Maps search into a list and reads each business's website for emails, phones and social links in the same run. You can ask in chat for up to 1,000 businesses, collect the search you have open, or paste many search links into Bulk. There's no account, and the lists stay in your browser.

Instant Data Scraper works on any website, not only Maps. Its Edge listing says it's completely free, guesses where the data on a page is and saves it as Excel or CSV, scrolling as the page loads more. Web Robots, which made it, says it no longer owns or supports it.

G Maps Extractor's extension is free for 1,000 records a month, with phones and up to 20 reviews per business. Its pricing page leaves emails and social links to the paid plans. For Chrome, its install page has you download a ZIP and load it with Developer mode on; Edge users get it from Edge's store. The G Maps Extractor comparison goes through its three products and plans.

Free tiers of online services

Three of the tools run on their own servers, so they keep going with your browser closed, and each gives a monthly free allowance with an account. Past it, you pay per business or per credit.

Outscraper gives 500 businesses and 500 website domains, read for emails, every 30 days, then $3 per 1,000 of each. Its files come as CSV, Excel, Parquet or JSON, and it has an API.

Apify gives $5 of use a month without a card. Its pricing page says use stops at that amount until the next month, and its most used Maps scraper, by Compass, charges $4 per 1,000 businesses plus $2 per 1,000 for company contacts on the free plan. That makes the free $5 about 833 businesses with contacts a month.

HasData gives 1,000 credits a month without a card, and its no-code scrapers return up to 1,000 rows on the free plan. Its pricing page prices its Maps scraper at $0.25 per 1,000 rows on paid plans but doesn't say whether emails come with them.

A scraper you run from code

gosom's scraper is public code on gosom's GitHub, written in Go. Its description lists the name, address, phone, website, rating, review count, coordinates, reviews and email for each business.

It costs nothing to download, and it runs on your own computer or server, so there's no allowance. In return you install and run it yourself, which suits developers more than someone who wants a list this afternoon.

When the free allowance runs out: 1,000 businesses with emails

A list of 1,000 businesses with emails is past several of these free allowances. Here is what each tool's own prices make it.

Tool1,000 businesses with emailsThe working
Maps Scraper Pro$0Free, with no allowance
Outscraper$3.00, or $6.00 once the free tier is used(1,000 − 500) × $3 ÷ 1,000 = $1.50 for businesses, the same again for at most 1,000 domains
Apify$6.00 at free-plan prices, past the $5; in practice the $19 Starter plan1,000 × $0.004 + 1,000 × $0.002 = $6.00
G Maps Extractor$19 a month online, or $39 a month for the extensionEmails start on the Lite online plan and the Professional extension plan
HasDataNot stated1,000 rows fit the free plan; its pricing page doesn't say whether emails come with them
Instant Data Scraper$0, without emailsIt saves what the page shows
gosom's scraper$0 in feesYour own computer does the work

Which one to pick for which job

Pick by what the list is for. Each row names the tool whose free version fits that job best, from the facts above.

Free trials and look-up tools

Two more tools come up when people look for free Maps scrapers. Neither has a free version that keeps collecting lists, so they're not in the table.

Questions people ask

What is the best free Maps scraper?

It depends on the job. For a list with emails and no account, Maps Scraper Pro, which we make; for a cloud service with an API, Outscraper's free tier; for running your own code, gosom's scraper.

Is there a free tool that can collect Maps data?

Yes, several. Maps Scraper Pro, Instant Data Scraper and gosom's scraper are free outright, and G Maps Extractor, Outscraper, Apify and HasData have monthly free allowances.

Which free Maps scraper finds emails?

Maps Scraper Pro reads them from each business's website at no cost. Outscraper's free tier covers 500 website domains every 30 days, and Apify charges them against its $5 of free use.

Which free Maps scraper works without an account?

Maps Scraper Pro and gosom's scraper need none, and Instant Data Scraper's listing mentions none. The online services need an account even for their free tiers.

Is Instant Data Scraper good for Maps?

It works on any page, a Maps list included, and saves what's shown as Excel or CSV. Its listing describes copying the data a page shows, so it won't add emails that a Maps list doesn't show.
