What G Maps Extractor is
G Maps Extractor is three products under one name, each with its own subscription, as its pricing page puts it: a browser extension for Chrome and Edge, an online scraper that runs on its servers, and an API for developers, with an MCP server for AI agents.
Its home page lists what it collects for a place: the name, phone, website, address, categories, rating and review count, opening hours, coordinates and the place IDs the maps service uses, plus reviews and photos. Its emails and social profiles are, in its words, scraped or found "from the internet", and it claims more than 12,500 customers on its own site.
Maps Scraper Pro does one of those jobs: it's a Chrome extension that collects a Maps search into a list and reads each business's own website for emails, phones and social links in the same run. It has no online scraper and no API, and it's free.
What its free plan includes, and where the cap bites
The free extension plan allows 1,000 records a month and, on its pricing page, ticks basic information, a custom export setting, the phone number, 20 reviews per place and 10 photos and videos per place. Email addresses, social media, saved place lists and bulk extraction are marked as not included; emails and social media start on the Professional plan at $39 a month.
The online scraper's free plan is different: 1,000 records a month with email and social media included, up to 2 keywords a task, behind a sign-in that creates an account. Its FAQ says that when you reach the monthly record or credit limit you can upgrade, and it doesn't define what counts as a record.
One Maps search lists about 120 businesses, so 1,000 records is roughly eight full searches a month before the cap. Maps Scraper Pro has no monthly cap: the only limits are a search's own length and chat's daily message limit, and every limit is on one page.
Installing it: a ZIP and Developer mode
For Chrome, its install page has you download a packaged extension, version 2.5.1 on the day, open Chrome's extensions page, turn Developer mode on and drop the ZIP onto the page. For Edge, it points to its listing in the Edge Add-ons store.
A ZIP you load yourself isn't a store listing, so Chrome doesn't update it for you: the newer version is a new download from the same page. The install page gives no reason for the ZIP, and this page doesn't guess at one.
Maps Scraper Pro is built for the Chrome Web Store, with no Developer mode or ZIP in its install; its listing isn't live yet, and the install button on this page links to it once it is. The extension works without an account, and chat sets itself up the first time you use it.
What each one collects for a business
The two differ most in what they add to the listing's own details, and where those extras come from.
| Detail | Maps Scraper Pro | G Maps Extractor |
|---|---|---|
| From the listing | Business Name, Category, Rating, Review Count, Address, Operating Hours, Phone, Website, Map URL | Name, phone, website, address, categories, rating, review count, opening hours, coordinates and place IDs, by its home page |
| Emails | Read from the business's own website during the run, free | "Scraped from the internet", on the paid extension plans and the online scraper |
| Social links | One column per network the website links to | Profile URLs "found from the internet", on the same plans |
| Reviews | The rating and the count only | Review text: 20 per place on Free, 250 on Professional, 2,500 on Business |
| Photos | None | 10 per place on Free, 100 on Professional, 1,000 on Business |
| Downloads | Excel, CSV, JSON or Sheets, from the results page or History | A custom export setting in the extension; CSV, Excel and JSON on the online plans |
Where an email comes from matters when you write to it. Maps Scraper Pro's come from the page the listing links to and one contact page, which the website reader's page explains; G Maps Extractor's pages say "from the internet" and no more.
What 1,000 businesses a month cost
Take one month and 1,000 businesses with emails, by its own prices on the day.
| Route | Cost for the month | Emails |
|---|---|---|
| Maps Scraper Pro | $0 | Included, from each business's website |
| G Maps Extractor extension, Free | $0, within the 1,000 records | Not included on Free |
| G Maps Extractor extension, Professional | $39, shown beside a crossed-out $49 | Included, up to 100,000 records |
| G Maps Extractor online scraper, Free | $0, within the 1,000 records, 2 keywords a task | Included, behind a sign-in |
The second 1,000 in the same month is where they part: on Maps Scraper Pro it's another run, free; on G Maps Extractor it's the Professional plan or the online Lite plan at $19 a month.
Where G Maps Extractor is the better choice
Four things G Maps Extractor sells that Maps Scraper Pro doesn't have, each from its own pages.
- Review text and photos, with a count per place that rises with the plan. The extension saves each business's rating and review count and nothing else from its reviews.
- Coordinates and place IDs in the file, for mapping or matching against another dataset. Maps Scraper Pro's row has the address and a Map URL.
- An online scraper on its servers, with keywords run as a task, and an API priced by the request with an MCP server for agents. Extension or cloud service sets out what a server-side scraper changes.
- An install from the Edge Add-ons store for Edge users. Maps Scraper Pro is built and tested for Chrome.
Where Maps Scraper Pro fits better
For one person building lists with emails, the difference is the cap and the bill. Maps Scraper Pro reads each website during the run and puts the emails in the row, on every list, with no monthly record count to watch.
It also asks nothing of you before the first list: no sign-in, no licence to enter and no ZIP to load. Type the business and the place in chat, or open a Maps search and click Collect list, and the list lands in History.
And the list is yours to shape before you download it. On the results page you keep the rows with an email, sort by rating, rename columns and download Excel, CSV or JSON, with Bulk for many searches in one run.
Making the same list in Maps Scraper Pro
Step 1: Ask for the businesses
Open the side panel, choose Chat and type the kind of business and the place, such as "Find 200 dentists in Dallas, TX". Where G Maps Extractor takes a keyword and a location, chat takes the sentence.
Step 2: Let it read the websites
Contact details are on by default, so each business's website is read for emails, phones and social links as the run goes. There's no plan to upgrade for them.
Step 3: Keep what you need
On the results page, ask chat for "only rows where Emails is filled" or "only name, phone, email and website". The file has what the page shows.
Step 4: Download it
Click Export as and choose Microsoft Excel, CSV or JSON. For a month's worth of searches, paste the search links into Bulk and collect them in one run.

Questions people ask
Is G Maps Extractor free?
Partly. Its extension's free plan allows 1,000 records a month without emails or social links, and its online scraper's free plan allows 1,000 records with them, behind a sign-in. Emails in the extension start at $39 a month.
Is G Maps Extractor safe?
Its own pages are the only source here, and we haven't tested it. They show a Chrome build you load as a ZIP with Developer mode on, outside the Chrome Web Store's listing, an Edge build in the Edge Add-ons store, and a 7-day money-back line. Decide from that, and read its privacy page before you sign in.
How do I use G Maps Extractor?
By its guides: install the ZIP in Chrome or the add-on in Edge, run a Maps search, and extract the results within your plan's records. For Maps Scraper Pro, type the business and the place in chat, or click Collect list on a Maps search.
G Maps Extractor or Leads Sniper?
Both are paid Maps scrapers that run on your computer. Leads Sniper sells a one-time licence, $149 on its pricing page on October 28, 2026, and G Maps Extractor sells monthly plans; the Leads Sniper comparison covers what each returns.
What's the best free alternative?
For a list with emails at no cost, Maps Scraper Pro: it has no record cap and reads each website in the run. For reviews or photos, no free extension we know of matches G Maps Extractor's counts, so compare the free tiers on the best free Maps scrapers page.
