Lists and downloads
Check, Tidy and Download Your Lists
Every list you collect is saved in History, in your browser. Open one on the results page to search, sort, filter and edit it like a small spreadsheet, then download it as Excel, CSV or JSON, or send it to Sheets.

How it works
From History to a file
History is a tab in the extension's side panel. The results page opens in a tab of its own.
Step 1: Find the list in History
Open the side panel and choose History. Every list you collected is there, with a search box to find an older one by website, name or type.
- Rename this save gives a list a name you'll recognise.
- Pin collection keeps a list at the top.
Step 2: Open it and tidy it
Click View results. The list opens on the results page, where you can search it, sort it by any column, filter rows, rename or hide columns, and fix a cell by editing it.
- Edited cells and deleted rows or columns are saved to the list in History too. Sorting and filters change only what the page shows, and the download follows it.
- Or tell chat what you want: "only name, phone and email, best rated first".
Step 3: Download it
Click Export as and choose Microsoft Excel, CSV, JSON or Sheets. A file is named after the list, followed by the date. Sheets makes a new sheet in the account Chrome is signed in with and opens it in a new tab.
- Ratings and review counts are written as numbers, so you can sort them in your spreadsheet.
- From History, Export as downloads a list without opening it.
On the results page
What you can do before you download
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Search | Search in table finds a business, a street or a word anywhere in the list. |
| Sort | Click a column's header to sort by it, such as Rating or Review Count. Toggle row order flips it. |
| Filter rows | Keep or hide rows by words in them. In chat you can filter by a value instead: "only rows where Emails is filled" or "rating 4.5 or more". |
| Columns | Show or hide columns, drag them into the order you want, and rename one with Edit column name. |
| Edit and delete | Fix a cell by editing it, or delete a row or a column. The list in History changes too. |
| Add contact details | For a list collected with contact details off, reads each business's website and adds the emails, phones and social links. |
Columns
The columns in every list
Every list has the same nine columns from Maps, in this order, then the columns read from each business's own website. Hide the ones you don't need on the results page before you download: the file has what the page shows.
| Column | Comes from | What's in it |
|---|---|---|
| Business Name | Maps | The name as the listing shows it |
| Category | Maps | The kind of business, such as Dentist or Italian restaurant |
| Rating | Maps | The star rating, saved as a number |
| Review Count | Maps | How many reviews the rating is based on, saved as a number |
| Address | Maps | The street address on the listing |
| Operating Hours | Maps | The opening hours the listing shows |
| Phone | Maps | The number on the listing |
| Website | Maps | The business's own site, where the next columns come from |
| Map URL | Maps | A link back to the listing |
| Emails | The business's website | Every address on its home page and one contact page, separated by a bar |
| Website phones | The business's website | The numbers the site lists, which can repeat the listing's own |
| Faxes | The business's website | Numbers the site labels as fax |
| One column per social network | The business's website | LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and the other networks the site links to |
Formats
Which file to choose
All four hold the same rows and columns. Pick the one the next step needs.
| Format | Best for |
|---|---|
| Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) | Opening in Excel, Numbers or LibreOffice, or sending to a client |
| CSV (.csv) | Importing into an email tool, a sales tool or any spreadsheet app |
| JSON (.json) | Passing the list to your own code or another program |
| Sheets | Working on the list online right away: a new sheet in the account Chrome is signed in with, opened in a new tab |
Settings
Settings that shape every list
They're under Settings → Results in the side panel, and apply to the lists you collect after changing them.
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Sort businesses | Best rated first | Also As the site lists them, or Most reviewed first. Best rated first weighs a rating by how many reviews back it. |
| Remove duplicates | On | A business that shows up twice in a search is kept once. |
| Skip businesses you can't reach | Off | Leaves out businesses with no phone, email or website. |
| Add emails from their websites | On | Reads each business's website for contact details during the run. |
| Businesses per chat search | Ask me in chat | Or 20, 50, 100 or 200. The number you pick on chat's first card is kept here, so chat asks only once. |
| Suggested format | The last one used | Which format Export as offers first. |
| Save prices, ratings and counts as numbers | On | Writes ratings and review counts as numbers in your files. |
Your data
Where your lists are kept
Lists are saved in your browser, on your computer. They aren't uploaded anywhere, and they don't move to another computer or browser profile.
History keeps your 500 most recent lists. Past that, the oldest are removed to make room, pinned ones included, so download any list you need to keep.
- Delete collection removes one list.
- Clear all, at the top of History, removes every list.
What people use it for
A file a client can open
Hide the columns the client doesn't need, rename the rest to match their sheet, and send an Excel file.
A call sheet
Best rated first, only name, phone and email, printed or opened on a second screen.
An import for your email or sales tool
A CSV with the columns your tool expects, ready to import.
Good to know
- Sheets is the one export that leaves your computer: the rows go to a new sheet in the account Chrome is signed in with, and nowhere else. The other three are files on your computer.
- Deleting a row or a column on the results page changes the saved list too. Download a copy first if you want to keep the original.
- Lists live in this browser profile only, and removing the extension deletes them.
Questions, answered
Where do I find a list I collected last week?
In the side panel's History tab. Search by website, name or type, then click View results to open it or Export as to download it.
How do I get my list into Sheets?
Choose Sheets under Export as. The first time, Chrome asks you to let the extension create files in the account it's signed in with; after that each export makes a new sheet with every column and opens it in a new tab. The extension can see only the sheets it created, never your other files. To add rows to a sheet you already have, download the CSV and import it; exporting to Excel or CSV covers each app.
Does it work on a phone?
No. The extension needs Chrome on a computer, and that's where your lists are kept. The Excel or CSV file you download opens on a phone in any spreadsheet app, so collect on the computer and read the list anywhere.
Can I choose which columns go in the file?
Yes. Hide the ones you don't want on the results page, or ask chat for "only name, phone, email and website". The file has what the page shows, which is how to shape it for an import into a CRM.
Are my lists uploaded anywhere?
Not unless you choose Sheets, which sends that one list to a new sheet in your account. Otherwise they're kept in your browser on your computer. Chat messages and usage analytics go to our servers, with counts such as how many rows you downloaded, but never the businesses in your lists.
How many lists can I keep?
History keeps your 500 most recent lists. Past that, the oldest are removed, so download the ones you need to keep.
Why do some cells show several values?
A business's website can list more than one email or phone. The results page shows the first and a +N more button; the file keeps them all, separated by a bar.
