How to Build a Gym Owner Email List for Free

One gyms search on Maps can mix gyms, fitness centers, boxing gyms and yoga studios, so a gym owner email list starts with choosing which you sell to. Maps Scraper Pro collects them for free with their category, hours, phone and website, and reads each website for emails. Then set aside chain locations that share one website.

Who sells to gym and studio owners

Equipment dealers, software makers, suppliers, cleaners, insurers and printers all sell to the businesses behind gyms and studios, and this list is for them. A gym emailing its own members, or someone trying to reach one chain's customer service, needs a different search.

The rows worth keeping follow from what you sell. To find gyms near you first, finding local businesses to sell to covers a first list for your area.

Collecting a city's gyms in one request

A hundred gyms fit within a single Maps search, so this request runs once, with no wider search of the area. It takes one message and a few minutes.

  1. Step 1: Ask for the gyms

In the side panel's Chat tab, type "Find 100 gyms in Chicago, IL with emails". With the number given, the run starts without a question first.

  2. Step 2: Watch the two counts

While it runs, the panel counts the gyms collected and, beside them, how many have an email so far.

  3. Step 3: Look at what chat offers next

Under the reply, one card searches a related kind of business and another a nearby town. Chat picks both for this search.

  4. Step 4: Open the list

In History, open the list with View results. Everything below happens on that results page.

Each gym's website is read during the run, its home page and one contact page, as the page on reading websites explains. A studio that books classes only through an app or a form may show no email, and keeps its row with that cell empty.

Gyms, studios and clubs: sorting by type

Category holds each listing's own Maps category, so one gyms search can mix several: Gym, Fitness center, Health club, Boxing gym, Yoga studio or Pilates studio among them.

Ask "count by Category" to see the mix, then keep one type with a filter such as "only rows where Category contains Yoga".

A gyms search may not find every studio. For a type you sell to, search it by name in the same conversation and click the combine card. Studios that turn up in both are listed once, under a Search column naming the search that found them.

Owners or head offices: chains versus independents

A chain's locations usually link to pages on the chain's website, and a run reads each website once. So all of a chain's locations carry the details from whichever of its pages was read first, most likely the chain's own address rather than a local owner's.

The same goes for a franchise run by a local owner if its listing links to the brand's site. To reach owners by email, keep the independents.

  • Sort by Website on the results page: a chain's locations sit together under one domain.
  • Ask chat to "remove repeats by Emails": the rows that disappear are the ones sharing an address with a row above. The Reset the view card restores them.
  • Keep the independents with "only rows where Website does not contain" and the chain's domain, one filter per chain.
  • A name that repeats down the Business Name column is another sign of a chain.

Chain rows still have a use. Each one's Phone is that location's own number from Maps, so you can call the front desk and ask who manages the site.

Hours, size and Instagram: columns that tell gyms apart

Four columns help you choose which gyms to contact first.

  • Website: an empty cell, or a social profile in its place, marks a gym or studio with no site of its own. Those are the ones a web designer or a booking-page seller would call first.
  • Operating Hours shows a gym that's open all night as Maps writes it. Search the column for "24 hours" if you sell night cleaning, security or access systems.
  • Review Count is a number in the file, so sorting by it puts the most reviewed gyms first and the least reviewed last.
  • A gym whose site links to its Instagram profile has that link in an Instagram column. For a studio with no email, it may be the way in.

The gyms with the fewest reviews are the ones a reviews or local search pitch suits; getting local SEO clients from Maps covers that approach.

Building a gym owner list, compared with buying one

Some lists sold as gym lists are lists of people who go to gyms, not of the businesses, so check what a list holds before you pay. A list built from Maps is always of businesses: one row per listing.

Note: Check the email rules where you and the gyms are before you send: what applies, and where.

Questions people ask

Is there a free gym owner email list?

You can build one free from a Maps search: the extension collects each gym with the emails its website publishes. There's no plan and no charge per row.

Can I include yoga and Pilates studios?

Yes. Search each type by name in the same chat conversation and combine the searches into one table, with each studio kept once.

Can I get personal trainers too?

Yes, the ones with a Maps listing of their own. Ask for "personal trainers in Chicago, IL"; trainers who work only inside a gym won't appear.

How do I cover every gym in a big city?

Run one search per neighbourhood, then combine them, 10 at most, into one table with a Location column. For more, give Bulk the searches' links.

Can I get gyms' social media links as well?

Yes. When a gym's website links to its profiles, the run adds a column for each network, such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or YouTube, with the link to the gym's own page. A gym whose site links to none has those cells empty.

Will the email reach the gym's owner?

At an independent gym, the published address is the closest the list gets, since it holds no owners' names. At a chain location, the email is the one on the chain's website.
